What’s inside

The protein comes from yeast.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the yeast species people have used for bread for more than 5,000 years. What’s new is the format: the protein is separated out of the yeast and dried into a powder.

“Fermented” here means grown. The yeast is grown in tanks on sugar, then its protein is separated and dried. It isn’t sour, and it isn’t brewed.

  • 5,000+ years

People have used this yeast species in bread for more than 5,000 years.

  • A fungus, not a plant

So we call it vegan, not plant-based.

  • Not dried yeast

The cell walls are removed and the protein is concentrated.

Every batch gets a report card.

The zero doubt Standard is five checks every batch has to pass: comfort, taste, mix, purity and label accuracy. The results go online by batch. Scan the code on the pouch to read them.

We set the pass marks before testing. If the product doesn’t meet them, it doesn’t launch.
